Product AND chemical tankers
Knutsen has experience from the product and chemical market since 1989 when the first vessel was built in Spain. Since then Knutsen has built many of its tankers in Spanish shipyards and the most recent vessels are built in China.
The product and chemical tanker fleet are well equipped with high lift rudders and pitch propulsion and are therefore highly reliable vessels. All are classed with high Ice class. The company has many years’ experience of ice transit in the Baltic Sea or other cold climate areas. With stainless steel tanks the vessels are able to take very sophisticated products and chemicals. Some of our vessels have up to 34 segregated tanks which mean that one vessel can carry 34 different products on a voyage.
